Kleio Shawl Kit (Pre-Order)

Product Description

Kleio (or Clio) is the muse of history, and is often depicted holding a scroll. By accounts, she was the mother of Hyacinth, a beautiful young man whose blood was fashioned into the hyacinth flower upon his death. Kleio was also known as The Proclaimer. Designed by Rosemary Hill, Kleio’s shawl is rich in history. Different knitting techniques combine into a pattern reminiscent of scrolls and friezes. Shaped as a shallow crescent, stitches are cast on at the top and the shawl is shaped using short rows. Braids separate the lace and solid sections, and a knitted-on lace edging finishes off the shawl.
